Checks, ACH, and Overdraft Advance
Overdraft Advance will be effective February 15th. Any overdraft
protection you have in place currently, will remain exactly as
it is now. Overdraft Advance, our version of courtesy
pay will
only be activated if there are insufficient funds from your other
accounts (Primary savings). This service will allow you to eliminate
the extra expense from the merchant for a non sufficient funds
item and the potential embarrassment of having a check returned.
This coverage will only be extended to you as long as your account
remains in good standing. Checks, ACH, online bill payments, etc
that overdraw your personal checking account will be covered through
Overdraft Advance up to $500.
Effective February 15th, all ACH (Automated Clearing House) transactions
will clear or be returned as soon as they process. You will no
longer have the option to avoid NSF returns by depositing funds
the next morning. ACH transactions that cannot be cleared due to
insufficient funds will be charged a $25.00 NSF fee. Overdraft
protection transfers from your primary savings account to clear
an ACH from your checking account will be charged a $3 transfer
fee. If you have Overdraft Advance your ACH transactions could
clear as long as you do not exceed the overdraft limit of $500.
We will apply an insufficient funds fee of $25.00 for each transaction
that we honor and will notify you each time your overdraft advance
service is activated.
Beginning
February 15th, all checks will clear or be returned as soon as
they process. You will no longer have the option to
avoid NSF returns by depositing funds before noon the next business
day. Please start preparing yourself now by monitoring your checkbook
and ensuring that money is available for checks that you have
written or ACH transactions you have authorized. For more information
