Health Savings Account
Those with a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) can benefit from the low fee Health Savings Account the Credit Union offers. A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a U.S.-government-sponsored account that individuals can establish to make tax-deductible contributions, earn tax-free interest on contributions, and withdraw money tax-free for qualified medical expenses. With easy access through checks and an HSA debit card, you can make paying for your health care needs a little easier.

- To qualify for a HSA, first, the individual or family must have a High Deductible Health Plan ( For 2012, a HDHP is a $1,200 deductible for individuals; $2,400 for family ) - other restrictions apply.
- Contribution limits for years 2012:
- Individual - $3,100 per year
- Family - $6,250 per year
- Catch up contribution for those 55 years and older-maximum additional $1,000

OOPS! (Occasional Overdraft Privilege Service)
We all make mistakes, but now you are covered. OOPS! is a non contractual overdraft advance solution, available when you need it. Overdraft Privilege allows your checking account to be overdrawn to cover transactions presented for payment up to a predetermined limit. OOPS! covers transactions such as checks clearing your account, checks in person, teller withdrawal, ATM withdrawal and other electronic means. If you are having trouble or are using this overdraft privilege more than occasionally, contact the credit union for help. Overdrafts should not be used to pay ordinary or routine expenses and you should not rely on overdrafts as a means to cover these expenses. If at any time you feel you need help with your financial obligations, please contact us at 937-228-1614.
