With H.A.L., the 24-hour telephone teller  system, you can reach your accounts anytime day or night.  In effect, H.A.L. puts a teller in your home, office, car, or anywhere there is a touch-tone telephone.

With H.A.L., you can:

  • Check your share and loan balances.
  • Make check withdrawals (minimum withdrawal $25.00).
  • Transfer funds.
  • Inquire about cleared drafts.
  • Check on deposits and withdrawals.
  • Request tax information.
 H.A.L. is Easy to Use

To use H.A.L., all you need is the following:

  • Your account number as listed on your statement.
  • Your personal identification number (PIN); your PIN is assigned by the credit union.
  • A touch-tone telephone.

When you call H.A.L., a friendly voice will guide you  through your transaction.   Changes to your account are made immediately, accurately and confidentially.   Remember!  Don't share your PIN with ANYONE.

 Using H.A.L.
  1. Call the special H.A.L. telephone number (228-2883 or  if Long Distance, 1-800-253-7757).
  2. Enter your account number followed by the # key.
  3. Enter your four-digit PIN followed by the # key.
  4. Enter a transaction code followed by the # key.
  5. To end your session, simply hang up or enter 99#.
 Things to Remember
  • The # key must be pressed to conclude each entry.
  • The * key will pause H.A.L. at any point.
  • Pressing ** will erase the last instruction you  entered.
  • Pressing *# will repeat the last message.
  • To end the call, press 99#.
  • Enter the exact amount for each transaction, including dollars and cents.   For example, to enter $100.00, press  10000#.
  • You may key ahead at any time during the session.  You do not need to wait for the voice prompt.
  • You may talk to a Credit Union representative at anytime by entering 0# at the transaction prompt.

 Accessing Non-Primary Accounts with H.A.L.

H.A.L. also will allow you to transfer to and make loan  payments on non-primary accounts on which you are a joint owner.  You  can have this option added to your Home Audio Link access by calling the  Credit Union at 228-1614 or coming in.  Simply ask for Dave, Karen,  or Jennifer.  They will be glad to set you up.

To transfer to or make loan payments on non-primary  accounts:

  1. Enter your account number followed by the # key.
  2. Enter your PIN followed by the # key.
  3. Enter a 6, then the transaction code, followed by the #  key.
  4. Enter the suffix, followed by the # key.
  5. Enter the account number of the non-primary account, followed by the # key.

 H.A.L., Your MasterMoney Card, and YOU!

With all the recent changes at Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Union, you may be asking yourself how all these new services work  together.

With H.A.L., you have 24-hour access to your accounts, and any transactions will update your account at the credit union automatically.  However, your MasterMoney Debit/ATM card still works off of a Positive Balance File, which is sent by DFFCU every week night at 6:00 p.m.  Therefore, transactions done through H.A.L. will not  reflect immediately on your MasterMoney card.  For example, if you  were to transfer $200 from your share account to your share draft checking account at 2 p.m., that transfer will not be reflected on your balance at  an ATM machine until after 9 p.m. that night.  If you need a transfer to reflect immediately on your MasterMoney card, you will need to make the  transfer at an ATM machine.

With H.A.L. and your MasterMoney card, you now have more access to DFFCU than ever before.  Remembering how they interact will help you to use all of Dayton firefighters Federal Credit Union services to their fullest.
